Escape on an island adventure to relax in peaceful surroundings with the bush, birds and beach at
your side. This trip is designed for students in Year 9 wanting to participate in the Duke of Edinburgh
programme and qualifies as the practice tramp for the Bronze Award but can also be a one of trip for students wanting to visit Stewart Island over MAD Week. A rough itinerary is outlined
below.

Prior to going students will have an introduction to the Duke of Ed programme and be guided through the website, those who are serious about taking on the challenge will need to enroll before heading to camp.
Students need to have an understanding of Hypothermia, causes, signs and symptoms as well as how to identify and treat someone with hypothermia.

15 minimum and 18 maximum so it will be a first in first served basis and your place will only be
secured when you have returned your permission slip to the school office.
The trip in total is roughly $160 plus food, this number will change depending on sponsorship and any fundraising done.
Enrolling into Bronze Duke of Ed will cost a further $100 but does not need to be paid until next year.
